Full salary will commence from the date bearing tinglandin 25th of April 1892 4 A free passage second class with Railway fare

to Port of Embarkation shall be provided for the person engaged and his wife to Hong Kong and on the expiration of his term of engagement the Government shall provide him and home with a free passage second class to England with Railway fare to destination provided his conduct shall have been satisfactory during his service and shall also pay to him half salary during the time occupied on the voyage

home and thereafter until he can be reabvorbed into the Trinity House service provided such half pay leave does not exceed three months in all, and in the event of his being compelled at any time during the period of Three years resign

appointment and return to England on account of illness not caused by any impropriety of conduct on his part and producing a Certificat from the Colonial Surgeon to that effect he di wife shail be provided with a free passage second class to England with Railway Fare to destination but if he should resign his appointment from any other cause he shall refund to the Government or to the Crown Agents for the Colonies the amount paid for his passage to the Colony. The return passage must in all cases be claimed within two months of the expiration or sooner determination of this Agreement.

In the event of any pecuniary damage arising from disregard. or noncompliance by the person engaged of any standing Order or Departmental instruction or from any neglect of duty whatsoever on his part he may from his Salary the amount of which shall be fixed by the Governor subject to the approval of the Secretary of State for the Colonies.
